Can I rant and rave for a moment?

Let's see if I can do this respectfully... First of all, nobody is perfect. Secondly, nobody can effectively please everybody. Thirdly, good news doesn't sell, so the media finds a needle of bad news in haystacks of good, then exploits it to make a profit. They make their money by making people look bad. Fourth, the more important a person is, the more the media belittles him. This is known as ';Short Man's Syndrome'; or ';Napoleon Complex.'; Fifth, the general populus is ignorant and stupid, believing anything and everything the media tells them, whether consciously or otherwise. Now here's what I'm getting at. Are you a part of the ';general populus'; that bases its opinions of the president and the war in Iraq on what the news and media tell you?Can I rant and rave for a moment?
The media is what it is, it circulates information. Seen that they are circulated by humans, the information is bound to be biased in some way - incidental or deliberate. To answer your first question, people don't need to told that the economy is doing badly it is all around us. When reporters and editors post their opinions people have an option to accept them or reject it. I believe most people weigh the information given and decide whether it makes sense.

Second, after 9/11 Bush had more than just those two options. He could have WAITED, gathered more information, rallied the support of the world's powers, outline a detailed and specific strike on the real enemies, strike (if necessary) and pull out after a specific timeline.

EDIT: People don't disagree against the war on terror. The threat is real and thats why he got re-elected. What happened is that he haphazardly sent thousands of troops to the middle east with the hopes that America superior military strength will FIX the situation. Most of the troops efforts are misdirected and are not yielding enough results.

Face it, this war is based on false allegations and inaccurate premises. The entire country and the entire world is suffering from it.Can I rant and rave for a moment?
';Fifth, the general populus is ignorant and stupid, believing anything and everything the media tells them, whether consciously or otherwise.';

So, are you part of the moronic populus that believes that whatever the president does is right just because he is the president? Getting to that position, and Bush is an excellecnt example of this, does not take a brainiac.

Speaking of letting toerrorists get away with things, where is bin Laden these days???

EDIT: Was that comment directed at me? Because I didn't bring up the troops. Nice try at baiting, though!

EDIT: It's hard to be respectful when I speak better publicly, and the man reminds of the eternal frat boy!!
It is clear that you are one of the very few who do not realize that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11; Saddam Hussein was not hobnobbing with Al Queda, and by leaving Afghanistan, we have allowed the Taliban and Al Queda to return and flourish.

I do not base my opinions upon what the ';news and media'; tell me, but there are writers and people whom I respect and when they speak, I listen. Seymour Hersh is an example. There are others.

I am also financially astute enough to know that when a very rich country has spent all of its reserves and is borrowing from other countries, it has suffered from a form of looting. I have also talked to people in the military who tell me of the waste going on in Iraq.

You have a lofty attitude, as though you know the answers, while you consider others to be simply ignorant and stupid, because their opinions differ from your own. I would say that you sound just like a Republican, glued to the Limbaugh program, repeating his views.

My opinion of the President is that he is so low a snake would tower over him. I don't like liars and I don't like people who ignore the poor while embellishing the rich. What your opinion might be is no concern of mine. I would suggest you read more.

By the way, Clinton is a tall man, yet the Republicans belittled him constantly. What does this do to the Napolean Complex?
We all know the economy is doing badly. And now almost every candidate wants to initiate a government health care plan that will cost billions , just as this war has cost billions... and we're still at it. And where is all this money coming from... middle class American tax payers, of which I am one.

One of Bush's biggest mistakes was surrounding himself with poor advisors. When Congress demanded to know just what in the hell was really going on in Iraq, top generals were called in. They all said Rumsfeld's plan was not working , that he would not listen to them, and the military badly needed new direction. That has finally happened, but look at how many Americans and Iraqi citizens died in the meantime.

There has been much financial waste and the terrible loss of human life simply because some hard heads thought they had the answers to everything, in spite of what military strategists told them. That reminds me of Hillary's failed health care plan in the 90's, where she had all the answers without consulting people in the medical field.

I get my news online and from current event and political magazines. Also, other countries often have a better take on what's hapoening so I go there for unbiased and fresh opinions.
Strong United Nations if it fought could be criticised as well. The United Nations has not been strong enough to live up to purpose under any President except during Korean War and people could agree or disagree about that. Have suggestion if not offensive. Suppose each U.S. citizen were to send the amount of money the citizen would spend on a burgher at a fast food place to U.N. instead of buying the burgher. What if U.S. citizens were to spend only on U.N. instead of on Entertainment ,Celebrity Magazines news even. The Best News a person could hear was The U.N.works. Citizens could also send their money which would go to taxes to U.N.and ask The U.N. to install Solar Power Arrays to end dispute about Human Accelerated Global Warming. Should not base opinions of effectiveness of U.N.on news either and not. Figure with more support of citizens can become very strong.
Let's see.A Saudi Arabian,(Bin Laden),orders an attack on the US.Bush then orders an attack on Iraq, whose President is also an enemy of Bin Laden.Am i missing something? The fact is,Bush lied %26amp; twisted Intelligence reports to fit in with his desire to grab Iraqi oil for his paymasters in big business. It does not matter to him that so many US troops were killed %26amp; maimed, after all, they were heroes. They died for their country, did'nt they? You talk about it not being the President's job to be on the battle-field.When Bush had the chance to fight for his country,he dodged it,coward that he is.
great reading. I agree with your opinions and hope this enlightens others who honestly don't understand the situation. I know we don't see the whole picture at times, as it is not for us to see. The president should always have the support and respect from his country NO MATTER WHAT, especially in times of war and trouble. He has the hardest job in the world and that is a fact. Not many want it. I am a patriot and hate to think about the people in this country who speak ill of it, but choose to stay here and live in freedom. Deep down, everyone knows the luxuries and benefits of being born here. I know I do.
